...But lets be honest, does anyone really care about JF and I anymore? Haha. Since starting back at work, I haven't had much time to blog. My mom (Nana) is at my house everyday with Lily while I go to work. It has been so great to not have to take her anywhere and to have someone as wonderful as my mom to have one on one time with her.
Today Lily had her 6 month appointment and the doctor raved how she was hitting 9 month milestones already. Yay! She is 26 inches long and 14 lbs, 15 ounces. She is in the 50th percentile for her height and 30th percentile for her weight and head. Lily sat up like a big girl for Dr. Bideau, but not before she showed her how well she stands (she is such a show off). She just started to wave a few days ago, which she also performed for the doctor haha. She fell asleep after she saw the doctor, but of course was woken up for her shots :( She took them like a champ like always. She cries just for a few seconds. I'd like to think she started taking it better once Mommy stopped crying ;)
She definitely doesn't miss a meal. She eats 4 ounces (full dish of baby food) 3 times a day. She also has usually 2 more ounces of a fruit or veggie after lunch and dinner! Not to mention a few ounces of milk in between. We started a few weeks ago on meat. She has had turkey and chicken so far. She has had about every fruit and veggie at this point. She hasn't had strawberries or raspberries yet. I read in some articles to hold off until 9 months on those, others say give around 6 months just cook first. She also hasn't had white potatoes yet. I was making the baby food, pureeing it freezing it myself. That has mostly stopped at this point. Besides working, she also eats too darn much lol.. its hard to keep up with. I still do the veggies that hold up well and are easy/cheap to do. She is also fully on formula at this point. She has used up all the freezer reserves completely lol. She is doing really well with Gerber formula. She rarely spits up. She also loves her sippy cup. She has it a few times a day with water in it after meals. She makes a bit of a mess still, but gets angry if you don't give it to her haha. She has also started sitting in big girl high chairs when we go out. She loves sitting in the cart at the grocery store too. It has made grocery shopping easier because she is much happier.
She puts just about everything in her mouth. Although she has mood swings, she is typically very happy. She is constantly smiling and laughing. She still loves her changing table, but rarely stays on her back anymore. We have to buckle her in on the table, but her skinny butt can still sometimes turn over. It is crazy how fast they grow. I see Joyce and cousin Ridge on facebook all the time and think how crazy fast they are growing, not realizing Lily is the same. She got her first official teddy bear from her Aunt Jamie and her first piece of luggage from her Uncle Dan haha. She loves them both so much. She hugs onto that bear any chance she gets!
I also left Lily for the first time with someone other than Nana...not sure this counts though because it was with Aunt Jamie ;) Of course everything went great and Aunt Jamie wore her out! I was nervous for Jamie because Lily had just finished having a huge fit. She got in two teeth on the bottom and sometimes has really bad days :( She loved every minute of it though. As long as you sing or make funny voices, Lily is completely entertained. Aunt Jamie has that down ;)
I hope everyone has a great week!! I will probably not post again until after our Ohio visit for Oktoberfest :)
