At my last appointment to see how Lily is growing and to check her heart, the technician wasn't able to get all of the "photos" she is required to. Because I had gone for an ultrasound several times without accomplishing what the doctors wanted, they sent me to a specialist. This week I had an appointment with a Pediatric Cardiologist, who my OB said would "have more tricks" to checking her heart and an actual doctor would be completing the test. Everyone in the room was chuckling at the fact wherever the wand went to, Lily would kick or hit at the pressure. The Cardiologist would quietly say, "ok there is the full aorta" then a second later "and she has moved away again, I missed it!"...it was pretty amusing. After a solid hour of conducting an ultrasound, the Cardiologist released me their practice stating, "that little girl in there just won't sit still!". The cardiologist said that although they typically want pictures of the full aorta, they saw all the parts of it and everything looks healthy. Something about how when Lily is born, they might check her heart often and to not be alarmed. Is there an old wive's tale that if the baby is crazy active in the womb, they come out very calm? I hope so!! Haha.
I had two people ask me yesterday if I was having a boy...even my great friend, Courtneah said I won't buy Lily any pink for Christmas because she is still convinced she is a "Luke"! They both suggested I am carrying Lily low. JF suggested we inquire about it at the next appointment lol. Even if we had a surprise at birth, I am incredibly thankful either way...but I have always said I thought I was having a girl :)
JF and I had our first anniversary on Sunday. We went to The Melting Pot and he surprised me with a Pandora bracelet. It was wonderful! My Dad, the jokester he is asked me on Sunday "wait.. were you pregnant when you two got married"! haha...yes Dad, Lily has been in my belly for over a year!
I haven't taken too many pics lately, so I added a few pics of what we have together of Lily's room so far :) The first one is a little dark/yellow...sorry, it's that Florida sun!

24 Week Check-up
Today I had a follow-up growth ultrasound and echo cardiogram (sp?). The tech and doctor said everything looked great, Lily is in the 57 percentile in growth, which is average. She weighed almost 1.9 lbs and everything is developed the way it should be. We didn't get to complete the echo cardiogram. Because Lily was up most of the night, she was curled up in a ball sleeping during the test. Since I have already had to go back due to Lily's unwillingness to cooperate, the doctor is sending me to a Pediatric Cardiologist. She promised that everything looked great, but this gives me an opportunity to have a doctor complete the test. She said with all of his tricks, he would get any test he needed without me needing to go back.
Either I am just a pansy at bedtime and can feel her more or she is just wide awake, JF decided to bring the "Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother" into our room. He brought it in two nights ago. We start it and rest it up against my belly at bedtime. I am not sure if it is actually putting Lily to sleep or if it is just working so well on JF and I, because we are all asleep in about 10 minutes LOL.
I added a picture of myself in Lily's room below. Although I am not a fan of pictures at this point, I will do what I am asked! LOL. I feel so big and uncomfortable that I swear she is coming out any moment. Apparently I am incredibly wrong and will get much bigger LOL.
Hopefully JF and I will get to the beach this weekend. Since we can't see snow, I want to make a snowman (sandman) at the beach! If Gracie doesn't destroy it before we can complete it, expect pictures!
I also added a little cheat sheet below of what the acronyms above mean. I have a few family members who are knew to this whole social media thing and only use e-mail ask me what they mean :)
sp? - spelled correctly?
LOL - laugh out loud

In the beginning...
Well...I have had several family members and friends ask to post more pictures and details of the pregnancy. Because not everyone on Facebook might want to hear the details, I decided to start a blog! Let me first give a shout out to my neighbor, Kelly and my aunt, Jamie who I may require help during the start of this process haha.
I had the 3D ultrasound at 18 and 20 weeks. As most of you know, we found out it was a girl :) I had to go back at 20 weeks because Lily wouldn't flip over for the tech to see her spine. Everything reported to be great. All of her organs and parts are where they should be. I go back in a few weeks for another ultrasound to check how she has grown.
I have also been asked on several occasions for pregnancy pics of my belly lol. I have had JF take a few and hated them. I promise I will post one very soon!
