32 Weeks, 2 days

I had my 4 week ultrasound along with my CTG every 2 weeks/twice a week, which is mandatory with my group of doctors if you have Gestational Diabetes. i also got my TDaP shot which is already starting to tighten up my muscle big time lol. In the ultrasound she told me Lily was about 4.5 lbs (49 percentile) which is exactly where she is supposed to be. She is also in the head down position already, which of course can change over and over again between now and labor. I guess like her father, Lily is just an overachiever lol. During my CTG (which measures Lily's heartbeat and my contractions for 20ish minutes), Lily was of course a wild woman. Her heart beat was between 145-160 depending on how much she was moving. She even made the machine beep twice, which is what happens if her level goes over 160 lol. I was also having Braxton Hicks contractions quite often, about 7 on average every 10 minutes. Good thing they are mild and not true contractions, or those numbers would mean I was in labor!
I have been keeping my blood sugar normal. I had two bad days after dinner, but my body seems to be regulating my sugar better on it's own. I had caffeine and carbs over my suggested limit on Saturday and my blood sugar was still normal when I took it. Yay! Today the doctor told me that with my numbers so far, regularly low blood pressure, and very low weight gain Lily should be completely healthy and my gestational diabetes should completely go away. She did say that I was 60% more likely to have gestational diabetes with my other pregnancies in the future though :(
Lily's room is complete and we have everything we believe we NEED before her birth. Nothing that we can't pick up after she is here if we decide it was needed after all. We have completed registration at Jupiter Medical center for the birth, completed cord blood registration to save Lily's stem cells, and completed our Baptismal registration and class. The plan is to have the Baptism on May 11 when JFs family is here visiting (TBD). Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years!
Here is a pic of Lily from today. The tech said she is puckering her lips :)

31 Weeks and Counting...

Well I had an awesome Christmas break so far! It started with a beautiful shower at my Aunt Faye's with family, friends, and co-workers and finished with family time in Jacksonville. It was great catching up with Branden and Jason, who are also expecting a baby soon! JF and I also took our last babyless vacation we will probably ever take before we retire haha. We spent 2 days in Atlanta and were able to spend a day with Courtneah and Carlos! Now that we are back home, the day has been spent putting away Christmas stuff.

I had a regular appointment today with my OB where I found out I gained almost 5 lbs in 2 weeks! Although I was shocked and in awe, the doctor didn't seem too worried and said it was normal. She said although a few pounds might be from the holiday, weight gain towards the end is normal. It helps that I had only gained, up to this point 5 lbs total in my pregnancy. She also made me feel better about flunking my glucose test a few weeks ago. She said that it was very common for women who have been diagnosed with PCOS to have gestational diabetes. Plus I will have ultra sounds every 4 weeks to verify Lily isn't getting too big.

I told her, although normal I am getting extremely uncomfortable and feel like I am breathing and moving like I weigh 400 lbs! She said another reason why I will be going in every 2 weeks already is to monitor I am not dilating too early because Lily is having less and less room in there. I quickly agreed on that considering I used to see little kicks on my belly where it was raised and moving around. Now I feel like the loch ness monster is in there rolling around haha. I see this wave of movement. It even freaked the guy out sitting next to me in the waiting room today at the OB. He was apparently there with his girlfriend who just found out she was pregnant.  Too bad JF wasn't there to give him some pointers on how to verify she doesn't try to kill him during the pregnancy ;)

Overall, I would say I am still doing great. I can definitely say I have never wanted something so badly, which is to have Lily here so I can hold her...and to take back control of my body! I need to get started on my "thank you" cards for the shower, but I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!!
